Starting and Stopping the License Server

 

Instructions for Windows Vista, 2000 and XP

  1. Open the control panel
  2. Open Administrative Tools
  3. Open Services
  4. Locate the item SIMetrix-SIMPLIS License Manager. If this is not present, look instead for Flexlm License Manager (the name used for earlier service installers)
  5. Select the item then menu Action. Select Start or Stop as appropriate. You may get an error message when stopping the service. This can be ignored.

Instructions for Windows NT4

  1. Open the control panel
  2. Open Services
  3. Locate the item FLEXlm License Manager. This is the default name for the SIMetrix license manger, but it's possible that it may have another name such as SIMetrix License Manager.
  4. Select Stop or Start button as appropriate.
