Upgrading

If you are upgrading an earlier version of SIMetrix, please install to a new folder. New versions of SIMetrix are designed to be able to run alongside older versions not to replace them. For more information about upgrading, please see Upgrading SIMetrix

Instructions

Install from Downloaded File

  1. Download the Windows install file. See Download Links
  2. Run the installer in the usual manner. Please install SIMetrix to a local disc drive. The Help system will not function if SIMetrix is run from a remote disc drive due to security restrictions.

SIMetrix or SIMetrix/SIMPLIS is now installed. Please see Running SIMetrix for details on starting SIMetrix for the first time and for important information on installing your license.

Install from CD

If you don't have a physical CD, you can download an ISO image and create one yourself. You can obtain the CD image from here Download Links

  1. Insert the CD
  2. If the installer does not automatically run, open the CD with explorer and run the file runsetup.exe.
  3. Follow instructions to install in the usual manner
