Why customers choose SIMetrix

The software has been very good for us, we rely on it and it has not let us down. We use SIMetrix for modelling DC light rail systems.

Terry Krieg, Senior Executive Engineer – Power Networks, Sinclair Knight Merz

I would like to say that over many years now, SIMetrix has had a large role in our success at designing challenging analog-digital ICs for our specialised markets. It is easy to use and delivers accurate results for our CMOS products. If you look at our catalogue at www.holtic.com, about 90% of our products were done with SIMetrix.

Bill Holt, Holt IC

I design analog integrated circuits and work with a score of companies and independent designer who use a large variety of different analysis programs.

For the past three years it has increasingly become obvious to me that SIMetrix is pulling away from the rest. Not only is it more user-friendly than any other program I have been forced to use, but it is fast and has capabilities that others simply don't have (such as temperature sweep in a Monte Carlo analysis)...

When it senses trouble converging, it automatically invokes a program called "Pseudo Transient Analysis", which places large capacitances at all nodes and then finds the correct biasing points. I have tested it with all the trouble-causing circuits from the past, designs that refused to converge in P-Spice, Cadence, Tanner, MicroCap, TopSpice and even Eldo and found they now all converge without operator assistance.

Simulator very useful, especially that I had a circuit to simulate in a given design environment and this specific circuit could not converge, while in SIMetrix the circuit converges and shows relevant output. SIMetrix is a user friendly and speedy SPICE simulator

SIMetrix/SIMPLIS is the only [program I have used] which provides intrinsically accurate modeling of the PWM modulator used in switching power supplies. All other programs require the user to build controlled source circuit approximations to the PWM modulator characteristics. These approximations are tedious to generate, provide accurate results only over a limited operating range of the modulator and are different for each power supply topology. Before SIMPLIS, complete approximation models which simulate all the intricacies of the PWM modulator were so complex as to only be comprehensible to the theoretical leaders in the field.

SIMPLIS completely eliminates the necessity of building PWM approximation models by directly handling the PWM modulator analysis and to an accuracy level essentially unachievable using other programs. Very impressive!

I just received the package today and the install was a breeze. I work with a lot of software tools and this was by far the easiest install I have ever experienced. I can't say enough about the versatility of this simulator. I think I have tried every spice simulator out there at least twice (and sometimes more), only to be disappointed with some level of functionality/capability. I have a particular design I am currently working on that has demanding digital and analog functionality that only your simulator was able to handle.

Finally - a simulator that lets the analog designer explore digital integration within the analog environment with ease. I have also benchmarked several of my "problem" analog circuits that gave other spice simulators trouble and yours worked flawlessly and accurately.

This is by far the best simulator I have ever used. The user interface is extremely intuitive and user friendly. This is not so with all other simulators. I feel like this simulator was custom designed just for the way I think!

Congratulations on a well thought out and well executed tool.

Thank you very much for the swift response to my requests for help; this kind of responsiveness is certainly not too common in the software industry.

Thanks for the lightning fast reply and thank you very much for creating the best spice product on the market.

The engineers here are very impressed with the ease of use, convergence, and the great support.

I have tested your latest version of SIMetrix with every circuit I ever designed. The result is truly incredible, I had no trouble making every single circuit converge.

As a piece of software it is TOP CLASS. The product is robust. It's user friendly. It has few if any idiosyncrasies. All the messages/user interactions involve INTELLIGENTLY thought out prompts. As an engineering tool it is outstanding. The schematic entry is fast, efficient (minimum mouse/key ops) and intuitive. Few bells or whistles, but ideal for the job. Simple circuit analysis can be performed in seconds.

I must congratulate you for your achievements with the SIMetrix circuit analysis program. Your program offers innovations and enhancements that make [some other products] look primitive.

More than anything I find it an extremely easy to use program. I have found other SPICE programs cumbersome. SIMetrix is a breath of fresh air by comparison.

I have tried many analog simulators and without hesitating I can say that of them Simetrix has been most useful for me.

I find it to be an easy to use, powerful and capable program, the best SPICE program I have used. ...I particularly liked the schematic editor, very flexible and straight forward.

I'm also impressed with the speed and convergence of SIMetrix on switching power supply circuits.

Your product feels very friendly indeed despite the fact that it is my first experience with a SPICE like program.

It's a brilliant SPICE simulator.
